Job Overview
Community Health Workers for Outreach are responsible for moving the health of our communities forward. This involves supplying COVID-19 related information to communities, attending testing and vaccination events, and more! The purpose of this position is to market and make our community aware of community resources to those families adversely impacted by COVID-19. As a member of the Symmetry Behavioral Health Systems (SBHS) Outreach Team it is your responsibility to make sure that you are prompt/punctual, properly PPE attired, and professional.
Duties are, but not limited to the following:
● Attend sites to pass out information i.e. flyers, brochures, packets, etc. to individuals who are getting COVID tests or vaccination.
● Wear adequate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) on hand prior to your assigned events.
● Accurately record hours and events worked documenting if possible number of participants.
● Turn in timesheets for compensation each week.
● Proper PPE for general outreach events is gloves and N95 mask.
● Maintain an adequate amount of materials (flyers, cards, packages) to supply to the community at each assigned event.
● Coordinate with Outreach Supervisors for obtaining more PPE, supplies, and equipment necessary for outreach services.
● Track outreach activities i.e. flyer handouts to report demographics back to Supervisors.
